1. The app
Hoop Counter Cam (“the app”) counts basketball baskets using the camera of your iPhone and keeps score. It is provided by Jani Haapaniemi (“we”). By using the app you agree to these terms and to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
2. Free features and HoopCounter Pro
Solo play on one device and the Apple Watch display are free. HoopCounter Pro is an auto‑renewing monthly subscription that unlocks multiplayer games, high score lists, game recording, additional camera devices and the pixel display integration.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, after any free trial.
- The subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Prices may vary by country and can change; you will be notified before a change takes effect.
3. Accuracy
Basket detection is based on a camera image and depends on lighting, camera placement and the ball and hoop used. The app can miss baskets or count false ones. The Undo button and manual +/– controls are there for that reason. The app is meant for fun and training, not for official competition scoring.
4. Safety
You are responsible for placing the phone safely (out of the path of the ball and players) and for using the app in a way that does not distract you or others from play.
5. Privacy
The app does not collect personal data. See the Privacy Policy.
6. Third‑party hardware
The pixel display integration works with third‑party devices (e.g. Ulanzi TC001) running third‑party firmware (Awtrix 3). We are not affiliated with those vendors and cannot guarantee their availability or behaviour. Links to shops may be affiliate links.
7. Warranty and liability
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the app, including lost data, missed baskets or disputes about the score.

We may update these terms; the current version is always available at this address.
